The game was fun, art was nice and I like topdown shooters like this.

The gameplay area felt small though for some reason, like I was feeling claustrophobic. Also, I didn't get whether I was progressing in the game or not, like every room was pretty much identical and I didn't spot any score counter or level counter in the gui.

Also, I couldn't quickly get why I would ever roll the dice. I didn't seem to have difficulty killing and ending the room without its use..

Thanks for playing the game and happy you liked it. Just watched the stream now, that was some clutch end of wave with 1 egg left :)

Thanks for playing, 1130 is a legit good score.  Our thinking was that the randomness in how the available chickies are generated played to the essence of the jam theme, and not so much to the literal dice mechanic.

Yeah, making towers like that smarter in their targeting is pretty key to a good tower defense; another example would be bombers aiming for clusters of enemies instead of singular ones. But, as redshirt said 48h is so little and while we worked until the end we never got to doing any of this advanced tuning of the game. Thanks for the playing the game and feedback!

Sorry to hear you got that screen darkening bug, I haven't got this during development. Would you mind sharing a bit more info (platform, browser, were you in fullscreen, any specific repro steps you can remember)?

(1 edit)

Presentation was nice, but i couldn't hear any music or sound effects. The building of the action decks was interesting, although it didn't seem to challenge me even at the least in the first few levels. Also, found some minor bugs where the opponent's life became negative.

But overall, nice work and in theme with the game jam, I enjoyed it.

I love this game. The mechanic is awesome and just feels good, it's easy to get it spinning. I liked when there were more enemies on the screen, but I wish there was some health mechanic implemented, even a simple thing like you can take 2 hits before dying. Otherwise, when respawning it took me back to the beginning and I had to grind back to the interesting moments.

GG! Very cool game, I got hooked. Loved the graphics mechanics, everything.

Very fun game, I liked the puzzle progression.

The game mechanic looks broken when I tried playing it, or maybe I didn't figure it out. Animations seem a bit off and the character is flying around tied to the mouse.  The graphics look interesting and I liked the backstory!

Same here, game does not load

Very cool idea! I couldn't solve all the puzzles due to a mouse sensitivity issue I encountered with the other game. I become frustrated in the end when most of the time I was looking either at the ceiling or the floor.

I like the idea, and the puzzles were interesting. I didn't manage to complete the games as the mouse sensitivity on this game was really really high making looking around and aiming at things cumbersome.  Most of the time I was either looking at the floor or the ceiling. Great game idea nonetheless.

Good game, overall a polished game. It took me a while to understand the mechanics, and still didn't fully understand the impact of taking over an enemy.
